"Journey"

wire,stone and wood "Life is a journey. Each journey is different and unique but still composed of essentially the same elements. In this assemblage the nature of that journey is represented by the wire which is flexible and mutable. The ancients acknowledged seven stages of life here represented by the seven stones which act as "directors of the flow" of the journey. The beginning of life is filled with a wondrous variety of opportunities which can lead in a wide vaariety of directions. As we mature, choices are made which start to shape the journey that will follow. At various stages of life other changes come as different obstacles and opportunities arise. Towards the end, the myriad choices of old age again present themselves as preparations are made for the end of the journey. Each journey is individual and different. This assemblage represents one such journey."
